who we are
Creative Health, Arts & Culture CIC
Creative Health, Arts and Culture CIC (CHAC CIC) is a UK community interest company working at the intersection of creative health, arts, culture and community development.
We believe creativity can do more than entertain. It can help people express what is difficult to say, create spaces for connection, strengthen confidence, support wellbeing and bring communities together across differences.
CHAC CIC develops and delivers creative programmes, workshops, exhibitions, performances, cultural education, community projects and artist-development opportunities. Our work is designed for people and communities as well as organisations that want to use creativity to support wellbeing, inclusion, cultural understanding and social connection.
We collaborate across sectors with artists, educators, schools, universities, health and wellbeing organisations, community groups, cultural organisations, councils and other partners to create meaningful, participatory experiences.
Our ambition is to help build communities where creativity is accessible, culture is valued, people can connect and creative practice contributes to healthier, more inclusive lives.

Accessibility & Safeguarding
Accessibility
CHAC CIC is committed to making its information and programmes as accessible and inclusive as reasonably possible. We aim to consider physical, sensory, communication, financial and other participation barriers when designing activities. Where a participant or partner has an access requirement, we encourage them to contact us in advance so that reasonable adjustments and appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
Safeguarding
CHAC CIC is committed to creating safe, respectful and inclusive environments for children, young people and adults participating in our programmes. Where our activities involve children or adults who may be at risk, appropriate safeguarding procedures, role checks, consent processes, supervision arrangements and reporting routes will apply.
A note on creative health. CHAC CIC uses creative practice as a tool for wellbeing, expression, connection and participation. Our programmes are designed within appropriate boundaries and are not a substitute for clinical diagnosis or medical treatment.
